HOW WE PRODUCE

We are a manufacturer!

Styrodur is perfectly combined with other materials, such as plexiglass, dibond, PVC, etc. You can also use several procedures, such as making outlines of styrodur of a different thickness and color, which will give a more three-dimensional shape.

The limitations are only the ideas that the client would like to implement.

A little about production and the best use of styrodure

Styrodur comes in cubic lumps that are cut to the required thickness using thermal plotters. Standard thicknesses that we can offer are 2cm, 3cm, 4cm, 5cm, 6cm, 7cm, 8cm, 10cm. However, if you wish to prepare specific thicknesses, for example 47mm, it is possible, just let us know. Styrodur is cut with a very thin hot wire, which heats the shapes. Styrodur is perfectly combined with other materials such as plexiglass, dibond, PVC etc. more three-dimensional shape.

Once the foam models are cut, our skilled team sands them very thoroughly, giving them an extremely smooth finish. They are also manually carved with a hand-held cutting tool to give them a final shape. On request we can coat them with polyurea that resembles plastic and is used to protect the foam objects from damage. Once the paint is applied, the project is finished. The limitations are only the ideas that the client would like to implement.

CNC Hotwiring

CNC foam cutters allow creating practically any product of the most complicated shape in a fast, accurate and relatively inexpensive way ( logos, signboards,, decor elements, store props & displays, P.O.P. displays, decorations for the theater or cinema, architectural shapes, columns, etc.)

Hand Carving

Hand carving often produces a more organic quality and we try to match the artist with the client depending on the desired effect. This process often takes a little longer than foam machining but may be a good choice for “one-off” items that do not need to be replicated many times.

Hard Coating

We can poly urea hard coat your item to make the surface durable and weather-proof. The coating is sprayed directly onto the foam’s surface under heat and pressure and dries immediately. We can recommend coating thickness depending on your requirements.

Creation

How do we take your design specifications and create your project? We begin with large blocks of foam. From there we cut and carve with a variety of tools to create your project. This usually begins with our CNC hotwire and router which leads to various hand tools before assembly. Once the project is assembled it then moves to our finishing department.

Finishing

Depending on requirements for durability, weather-proofing, temperature, mobility, strength, and flexibility, different finishes can be used. (painting, air-brushing, glossy finishes, natural environment finishes, soft-shell and hard-shell coatings, sealers, and glassing.)

Installation

What ever sign you receive, installation is fast and simple. Interior signs can be hung with double sided foam tape, command strips, adhesive or if desired we can install various types of picture hangers. For exterior signs make sure to check with your local council for the proper rules that apply before you begin. Due to the wide range of project options and their various installation methods around the country please ask our knowledgeable staff for recommendations.

Shipping

We can ship your project a variety of ways from UPS, FedEx or freight to anywhere you’d like. Our policy is to get you the best rate with the quickest transit time so we work with a logistics company to achieve that at the time of shipment. The beauty of creating things from foam means we have an ample supply of packaging materials to ensure your project arrives to you safely. We all know things can happen so when shipped, all projects are insured for the invoice value.
